Mr. Ganchrow began his legal career at the law firm of Berger Kahn Shafton Moss Figler Simon and Gladstone defending some of California’s largest insurance companies in first-party property insurance lawsuits and providing coverage advice. In 1996, he moved to Parker, Milliken, Clark, O'Hara & Samuelian, a Professional Corporation, at which he became a shareholder. He is a member of the litigation department at Parker Milliken, and also practices in the field of employment law.
Professional Experience:
Mr. Ganchrow has more than 17 years of litigation and trial experience in State and Federal courts handling a wide range of business and employment matters. A sampling of Mr. Ganchrow’s litigation experience includes:
- Successfully defending at trial bad faith lawsuit against Farmers Insurance Company arising from fraudulent theft loss
- Successfully representing a public entity before the trial court and Court of Appeal in complex pension litigation
- Successfully defending co-executors in multi-million dollar estate litigation
- Defending a medical group in trial and Court of Appeal in one of the seminal California decisions regarding contractual non-competition clauses in connection with the sale of a business or stock
- Successfully representing corporation accused of FACTA credit card violations in state-wide class action
- Obtaining summary judgment on behalf of a mezzanine lender in multi-million dollar breach of contract lawsuit filed by an investment banking firm
- Successfully negotiating “coupon” settlement in a class action consumer unfair business practices lawsuit
- Defending corporate officers and directors in state courts and bankruptcy court against breach of fiduciary duty and misappropriate claims
- Defending and prosecuting lawsuits involving trade secret misappropriation claims
- Defending wrongful termination and class action wage and hour lawsuits
